Not much to say here, except to mention that I’m just about finished the implemention of the feature I talked about in my last entry. So far, it’s only about 300 lines of code for the sub-segmentation part, and another 300 or so for the back-conversion.
“How did he manage all this so quickly ?”, I hear you ask ?
Well, something that would have taken yonks in SAX, a fair while in DOM and would be virtually impossible in XSLT (go on, prove me wrong !) I’ve got mostly working in less than a day, using JAXB – if you’ve never used it before, do yourself a favour and have a quick read of this article, which is a good introduction.
