It’s been a while folks, but we’re finally getting around to holding another Irish OpenSolaris User Group meeting, to coincide with the upcoming One-year Anniversary of OpenSolaris!

On Wednesday June 14th, we’re meeting in the Sun Ireland office (here, because it’s probably a bit short notice to book anywhere else) – details below:

When : Wednesday June 14th, 19:00
Where: Sun Microsystems Ireland
Boole House,
East Point Business Park
Dublin 3
Topic: OpenSolaris in it's first year, and a ZFS fly-through
How to get here: Getting the Dart to Clontarf Road Dart station,
is probably the easiest - come out of the dart
station, turn right following the private road
on to Alfie Byrne Road, continue away from Clontarf
and take the first turn left, into East Point
Business Park. When you come into the park, head
straight, and turn right at the Yahoo! building.
Our building is opposite the tennis-court/car park.

As mentioned, we’re going give a recap of activities on OpenSolaris for the past year, and Mike Byrne will give us a fly-through of ZFS – we might also hold some lightning talks (~10mins each) on other topics, depending on how we are for time, so it’s set to be an interesting meeting. Oh, and there’s a nearby pub that we’ll probably adjourn to later on, to continue the festivities!

If you’re planning on coming along, can you let me know, or drop a mail to the IOSUG mailing list : we need to get names in order to get badges issued which will get you into the Sun building.

We look forward to seeing you !
